I am not usually a big fan of the wind and rain, but I have been enjoying these last couple days of just that. This is the calm before the storm. Pretty soon, there will be so much to do and most likely there will not be enough time for it all. But today, everything seems possible. The chickens are perfectly content to scratch their way around the yard eating all sorts of yummy things. The sheep are chewing happily while their babies prepare to enter the world. The scarecrow blows gently in the breeze as the newly planted fruit trees enjoy a good drink from the rain. The garden anxiously awaits the arrival of seeds and vegetable starts. And for me, standing inside looking out, I can see all the possibility, all the dreams we have for the farm, all the potential. I know that big changes are coming. Good changes. And although I am really excited for a new spring to begin, right now I am perfectly content to stand in the window and watch the rain fall.
